This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you visit the site, Vercel automatically collects and stores technical information transmitted by your browser in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and correct delivery of this website. It is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify you.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. As Vercel is based in the United States, data may be transferred outside the EU; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. I use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., to understand how this website is used.

This service does not use cookies and does not store any information on your device. Instead of persistent identifiers, it derives a temporary, non-reversible hash from the incoming request — including the IP address and user agent — which is used only to distinguish page views within a single day and is discarded thereafter. Visitors are not tracked across websites or over time, and no profiles are created.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest being to understand general usage of this site. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, consent under § 25 TDDDG is not required.

If you contact me by email, the details you provide — including your name, email address and the content of your message — are stored in order to process your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest being to respond to enquiries addressed to me. Data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply.

This website does not use cookies beyond those strictly necessary for its technical operation. No tracking, advertising or profiling cookies are set, and no consent banner is therefore required under § 25 TDDDG.

This site links to external websites, including projects I am involved in. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies and the privacy policy of the site you have reached takes effect. I have no control over the data processing carried out by third parties.

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data (Art. 15), to have it rectified (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
